WHO: Dance International is a non-profit organization with 20 years of rich history. They were created to provide a healthy, nurturing environment for people to learn to dance, and to share the joy of art, dance, and music.

WHAT: Vintage 15 will be playing music for you to get up and dance to and enjoy from 7pm till 8pm and a second set again after the performances.   There will be workshops in the afternoon: Noon with Stewart Yaros Director of Dance International in Ballroom – focus on Waltz, at 1pm: Gustavo will be teaching Argentine Tango, at 2pm: Ryan and Tessa will teach an International Rumba workshop, and at 3pm: Cristian will be teaching a Salsa workshop. We are asking the teachers to accommodate as many levels as possible so all are welcome to the workshops.  Performances are at 8pm; we’ll have youth demonstrations, adult demonstrations, and professional demonstrations by our guest couples (US and World Salsa Champion Cristian Oviedo and partner Maria Zhukovskaya; Professional Latin Dancers from Dallas, Ryan and Tessa; from here in Austin at Esquina Tango, Gustavo Simplis and Veronica Quitalo).  Attire for the afternoon workshops is casual the evening dance and performances are semi formal.

Bring the horns, drums and a little fun! The Los Flames will fire up the ballroom with their classic rock n’ roll tunes. Come out to enjoy great grooves that will ‘slow your Mustang down’. The Flames specialize in blues, soul and rock n’ roll; a great group to listen to, as well as dance along with. If we’re lucky, they will bring their accordion and throw in a few Latin tunes, too.
